SwingStarGolf.com Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
About My Lessons
Do online lessons really work?
Unequivocally, YES. In fact, SwingStarGolf lessons work far better than generic tips or instruction for two important reasons:
First, a top tour coach analyzes and diagnoses your swing videos, just as he does for tour pros and other clients. Then he creates a custom lesson that is personalized to the specific strengths, weaknesses and anomalies of YOUR individual swing, showing you exactly what to do to improve and move your game to the next level.
Second, Robert Baker’s LogicalGolf instruction techniques – including props like hula hoops, arrows and airplanes – make it easy for you to VISUALIZE and understand what you are doing wrong so you can correct it.
SwingStarGolf lessons work better than personalized lessons, too, because of the quality of the coaching itself, and because you can review your lessons again and again, whenever you want – viewing your own swing right alongside Robert’s instruction.
As Robert Baker himself says, SwingStarGolf is the biggest breakthrough in golf since Callaway Golf, and it will change the game of golf for tens of thousands of golfers around the world!
Are my lessons truly personalized?
Absolutely. Robert Baker or a member of his hand-picked team of coaches analyzes YOUR swing videos and assembles custom lessons tailored to your swing. Your personalized lessons include the EXACT instruction techniques, drills and teaching aids that you would receive in a live, in-person lesson with Robert. Each successive lesson builds upon previous lessons to help you continue your rapid improvement. In addition, each video lesson is accompanied by personalized written comments, explanations and suggestions from the coach.
Is my lesson an email from the coach?
No. You will receive an email notification when your lesson is ready, but you always view your lessons at the SwingStarGolf.com website.
How long does it take to get my lesson?
Typically, lessons are delivered within 48 hours. In order to ensure personalized attention and the high quality of every lesson, lessons may occasionally take slightly longer if Robert and/or his coaching staff are traveling or otherwise committed.
How long are my lessons?
Typical lessons are five to ten (5 - 10) minutes long, depending on exactly what your coach feels you need to work on to move up to the next level. You are spared generic instruction that is not relevant to your individual swing and your needs. Robert shows you what YOU are doing wrong and how to correct it. Short, sweet and to the point.
Why would I want to upload my swing videos without taking a lesson?
You can learn a lot about your swing just by seeing it. The vast majority of pro golfers regularly film and view their swings as a routine part of their practice and training regimen. It is often easier for us to SEE what we are doing wrong instead of trying to "feel" the swing faults we have.
How long will my videos stay on the website?
All your swing videos – and all your lessons – will be available for viewing as long as you remain a SwingStarGolf.com member.
How many times can I view my lesson?
You can view all your lessons as many times and as often as you like, for as long as you remain a SwingStarGolf member. This gives you a fun and informative way to look back on your old game and chronicle your improvement over the weeks, months and years. It also lets you review any past lesson if old bad habits should creep back into your game.
Will each lesson be different than previous lessons?
Definitely. As you begin to improve your swing, each subsequent lesson will address new issues and will incrementally refine and improve your swing. Also, as the coach reviews your current swing, he can also view your past swings and lessons to tailor each new lesson to the next stage of improvement. If drills are repeated, it is because you need continued work on that particular aspect of your swing. In the “Coach’s Notes”, he will also comment on how well you are (or are not) incorporating previous instruction and will specify what areas from past lessons need more work.
Can I view my swing videos on my iPod or phone?
We’re working on it. We hope to make it possible to view your swings on any portable device In the very near future.
Can you help me with other parts of my game, like chipping or putting?
We’re working on this, too. Short game and putting are coming soon.
What can I do if I don’t like my lesson?
If you are dissatisfied with your lesson for any reason, just let us know. We will, at our option, prepare a new lesson at no charge or refund the cost of your lesson. Your satisfaction is our primary goal.
Are SwingStarGolf lessons just canned videos?
No. While we do employ prerecorded video clips created and proven to correct virtually every possible swing anomaly, each lesson is custom made for YOUR unique and individual swing, and your individual concerns about your game.
Does SwingStarGolf work for golfers of ANY level?
Indeed it does. Because our lessons are tailored to the individual golfer’s swing, it works for golfers of all levels, from beginners to scratch golfers and even tour professionals.

Filming and Uploading
What type, brand and model camera do I need to film my swing?
This is one of our favorite questions. Many golfers think they need an actual “video” camera to film their swings. In fact, almost any make or model digital camera – the same camera you use to take snapshots on vacation – will take the kind of video clips required for your personalized lesson.
If you’re uncertain how to take videos, just refer to the instructions provided with your camera. Because all cameras are slightly different, you will also want to refer to your camera manual for instructions how to transfer the files to your computer for uploading at SwingStarGolf.com.
Can I film my swing with a video camera instead of a digital camera?
No. SwingStarGolf technology has been optimized for the video formats created by ordinary digital cameras – the kind most people already own.
Can I film my swing myself?
No, you need a friend to film your swing. It could be your wife, husband, a golfing partner, a neighbor, even your child. (If the person filming is a golfer, maybe you should film his or her swing too and suggest they join SwingStarGolf also!)
What happens if I purchase a lesson but I didn’t film my swing videos correctly?
If there is any problem whatsoever with your swing videos, we will provide you will a clear explanation how to re-film or re-upload your videos and you can upload them again – at no additional cost, of course.
The most common problems include the camera being too close or too far away from the golfer or improper camera placement relative to the golfer. Be sure to follow the How to Film and Upload Your Swing instructions page carefully the first time you film. After that, it’s easy.
Occasionally, the .avi or .mov file name extension gets dropped from the file name when the golfer is transferring from his camera to his computer. Please make sure the extensions are in place when you select the swing videos for upload.
How do I get my videos from my camera to my computer?
You transfer video files to your computer in exactly the same way you transfer snapshots. With some cameras you will connect the camera to your computer using a USB or Firewire cable. With other cameras or computers, you may remove the memory card from your camera and insert or connect it to your computer.
Because of the large number of camera brands and models, please refer to your camera’s instruction manual. (Once the video files are on your computer, refer to our How to Film and Upload Your Swing instruction page for details on naming your files.)
Can I save my lessons on my computer?
Technically, no. Your lessons and the swings you’ve uploaded are stored at SwingStarGolf and then streamed to your computer whenever you want to view them. The advantage is that you can view them from any computer anywhere in the world where you have broadband Internet access.
We are, however, working on making your swings and lessons available on phones and other portable devices… including your iPod!
Do I need a broadband Internet connection?
Yes. SwingStarGolf requires a broadband connection to properly stream your swing videos and lessons.

About SwingStarGolf and our Coaches
What is the relationship between SwingStarGolf and LogicalGolf™?
LogicalGolf™ is Robert Baker's easy-to-learn-and-understand teaching system. SwingStarGolf.com provides the vehicle for delivering personalized LogicalGolf instruction via the Internet.
Does Robert Baker personally analyze my swing?
Robert personally analyzes and prepares as many lessons as possible. However, in order to ensure prompt lesson turnaround, your lesson may be prepared by one of his handpicked LogicalGolf coaches located in Miami, Capetown or Europe. All coaches are personally selected, trained and certified by Robert.
Can I get the same coach next time?
We automatically attempt to keep you with the same coach from lesson to lesson. However, if that is not practical, each coach has in front of him your entire lesson history and comments from other coaches. This ensures both continuity and consistent quality from lesson to lesson, to maximize your improvement and help you improve as rapidly as possible.
Why is an on-line lesson so expensive?
Actually, a personalized SwingStarGolf lesson from a world-class coach costs less than a single round of golf. The $49.95 price of a SwingStarGolf lesson is based on the time required for personalized analysis of your swing videos by Robert Baker or a member of his coaching staff, and to prepare your personalized lesson. It also covers the significant cost of the exclusive technology used to prepare and deliver your lessons, and that allows you to view your swings and lessons side by side, with start, stop, fast-forward and slow-mo capabilities. We’re sure you’ll agree after your first lesson that it’s one of the greatest values in golf today.
Are there discounts for multiple-lesson packages?
Yes, three-lesson packages are available for just $99.95.
Can I track my progress on the SwingStarGolf website?
Yes, that’s one of the great things about it. You will always have a visual record of your swing, from your first upload through the present.
